My figurative work in clay is an exploration of very human universal themes within the deeply personal story: loss, resilience, courage, connection. Often a sculpture tells part of a story, leaving the viewer to fill in the rest with their own account, thus completing the narrative. I am often attracted to characters from myths and literature. The repetition of a story retold many times through history embraces the shared experience, or at least an experience to which we are willing to be a witness.
